A dozen Brevard County Jail inmates drew a lucky job detail today at the Cocoa Beach Pier.
Instead of staring at bars and bricks, the light and dark grey striped clothed inmates were able to enjoy the beach and bikinis while setting up the stage for the upcoming 26th Annual National Kidney Foundation Surf Contest which begins on September 1st and runs through September 5.
Although the presence of inmates caused many female sunbathers to move to the other side of the pier, Tyler, 19, and Savannah, 18, were undeterred.
In fact, the young sunbathers interacted with the inmates at a distance throughout the day. The inmates compliment to the young ladies: "You made our day."
