Surfing Santas In Cocoa Beach for 2011 Christmas Eve

COCOA BEACH, Fla.  -- A group of about two dozen surfers donned Santa garb for the annual 'Surfing Santa' event put on every Christmas Eve by organizer George Trosset.

The event took place near 24th Street South in Cocoa Beach at 9:30 a.m. today.

The water temperature was a balmy 72 degrees, a pleasant change from last years chilling ocean temperatures.

Each year, the event attempts to to create a Guiness Book of  World record for the most surfing Santas.
