Very often, Brevard Times receives requests for the redistribution of its content. In order to circumvent these time consuming requests, the following redistribution policy has been invoked by Brevard Times:
Inquirer whether a licensing agreement has already been made regarding your affiliate and/or media publishing group internally first, then inquire at [email protected] On several occasions, it is later determined that distribution rights have already been purchased and/or granted.
Facebook and You Tube:
Videos produced by Brevard Times on Facebook and YouTube are governed by Facebook's and YouTube's policies, respectively.
At its sole discretion, BrevardTimes.com may revoke and/or rescind license for use of its content to any specific entity, person, or organization it chooses unless otherwise agreed to.
Why the change in policy?
Over the course of the last five years, the media landscape has changed and traditional media has moved into online content like never before. As a consequence, Brevard Times has sometimes found itself competing with its own viral content and suffers a loss which must be compensated.
Brevard Times will assert all legal means to protect its content. This includes, but is not limited to, searching for and reporting DCMA and social media policy violations immediately, followed by civil and criminal actions thereafter as provided by the remedies in the defendant's governing jurisdiction.
