Armed Robbery At Palm Bay Subway Restaurant

PALM BAY, Florida -- Palm Bay Police Detectives are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a local Subway restaurant.  

At approximately 4 p.m. today, a black male entered the Subway located at 3450 Bayside Lakes Boulevard in Palm Bay, Florida.  The suspect threatened the employee with a handgun and demanded the cash from the register. 

The employee, who was the only person in the store at the time, complied and the suspect fled on foot.  The employee was not injured.  Patrol units and a K-9 search of the area did not yield any results.  

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30's, 5'5" tall, with a small build.  He was wearing an orange shirt and brown hat and was carrying a gray colored Wal-Mart plastic bag.  He fled the scene on foot heading west on Bayside Lakes Boulevard .  

 Crime Scene Technicians are reviewing store surveillance video in hopes of obtaining images that can assist detectives in identifying the suspect.
