DELTONA, Florida -- Volusia County
Sheriff’s investigators filed more sex charges against 22-year-old Thomas Fleming who is already accused of abusing a 4-year-old girl after learning that the defendant
and his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Autumn Ash, also allegedly abused a 7-month-old baby.
In addition to filing more
sexual battery charges against Fleming, investigators have arrested
Ash and charged her with five counts of sexual
battery.
The
investigation was launched on Friday after pictures of Fleming
allegedly having sex with the 4-year-old were discovered on Ash’s cell
phone. Deputies say that she initially denied knowing they were there. But after further
questioning, she allegedly admitted knowing about the
pornographic pictures and videos and said when they were dating, Fleming would
send them to her and then the two of them would text each other and talk about
sexual fantasies involving the child.

The discovery led to Fleming’s
arrest Friday night on two counts of sexual battery. But as investigators
continued to examine the child images on Ash’s cell phone, they discovered
a second victim also being abused. Investigators identified the second victim as
a 7-month-old baby girl.
Deputies say that Ash admitted that she and Fleming had taken
pictures of the baby and performed sex acts on her on multiple occasions. After
abusing the baby, Ash said she and Fleming would then have sex. Based on the
additional information uncovered in the investigation, the Sheriff’s
Office arrested Ash on Monday and also filed three additional sexual battery
charges against Fleming.
During questioning, Volusia deputies say that Fleming admitted to having sex with the 4-year-old girl and
taking pictures of the two of them during the sexual encounters and then sending
them to a woman who was his girlfriend at the time. Fleming also shot video
clips of the sexual activity as well from his cell phone. Fleming is suspected of having sex with the 4-year-old girl on numerous occasions.
After the images were
discovered, the Sex Crimes Unit along with Sheriff’s investigators who
specialize in working Internet crimes against children were able to quickly use
their technological and investigative skills to access the images for
evidentiary purposes, track down the suspect and secure an arrest in a matter
of hours.
Ash, who lives in Orange City,
and Fleming, who lists a Deltona address, are in jail being held without bond.
The Sheriff’s Office’s Sex Crimes Unit and its Internet Crimes
Against Children Unit are continuing to investigate. Both defendants are
expected to face additional charges, including possession of child pornography.

This is absolutely disgusting. I don't want to believe that people can do this. Why are these types of people allowed to LIVE???? There is no "rehab" for them, they can NEVER be around children again and taxpayers shouldn't have to pay to keep them alive for any lengthy jail/prison stays. Nor should taxpayers have to pay for monitoring.

I went to school with this kid he was my friend never thought he would do anything of this nature i have kids this age thats sick cant beleive he did something like that

I think releasing their familys address is totally uncalled for they have the ONLY two people involved in this case in custody, you need to respect the privacy of the familys and victims in this matter. mind your own fucking buisness. Notice to author: There is no such thing as "sex with a child" - it is RAPE! Media should really call this ugly thing it's real name. Every instance where “rape” should have been said in the piece, it is replaced by “have sex with” or even “molest,” which downplays the abuse and rape. I'm curious to why this wasn't reported earlier? I would think, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that a 4yr old is physically incapable to withstand adult actions as such without physical damage. please do not mistake me, I am in no way blaming anyone but the sick scum who did this, I just wonder how this occurred multiple times without someone noticing. I think the 7 month old was hers. I knew her in high school and I know she just had a baby girl around 7 months ago. Either way, that is disgusting. Never liked her and now this just confirms why I didn't like her. I feel horrible for those children. Why would anyone even fantasize something like that let alone act on it!?

He told the 4 year old that if he told anyone what he was doing she would "be in very big trouble".
He was not "having sex with the 4-year-old," he was RAPING the 4-year-old. The 4-year-old did not (and could not) give consent. When you refer to Fleming's actions on that video as "having sex" it implies a consensual act. This was not a consensual act, it was rape.
Words matter. They have specific meanings. What he did on that video was not sex, it was rape.
