Palm Bay Home Invasion Shooting
PALM BAY, Florida -- Palm Bay Police Detectives with the Major Case Unit are currently investigating a
shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the 1000-block of
Whitehurst Road SW.
At approximately 1 a.m. Saturday, a 17-year-old boy
was awakened by two black males wearing ski masks. The suspects
disconnected the television as they entered the home in order to make
sure it was completely dark inside.
The male victim was asleep on the
couch and when awakened one of the suspects pointed a gun at him and
demanded all his personal property. The suspects then went into another
room and stole a laptop computer and an X-box gaming system.
As the
suspects fled, they shot the victim in the buttocks area. The suspects
fled out the back slider door and the victim crawled to a neighbor’s
house for help. The victim is currently hospitalized in stable
condition.
