MELBOURNE, Florida —The Foosaner Art Museum presents Museum Monday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m., featuring Florida artist Sloane Keats in the Harris Community Auditorium.
Indialantic artist Sloane Keats is inspired by the lush tropics of Florida. Her thickly textured oil paintings reveal her love of bright colors, pattern, texture and movement. Keats will share her passion for painting and her technique of blending oils directly on the canvas.
Keats has been a featured artist in Art in Public Places and has exhibited in numerous juried art shows, invitationals and group gallery shows. Her work has been on display at Vero Beach Museum of Art with the Vero Beach Art Club. She has received several awards. Most recently she took a first place award at the 45th Annual Space Coast Art Festival; a Best 2-D Demo Award at Art Works of Eau Gallie; and a Best of Show at the Heritage Isle community of Viera. Keats is a member of the Central Brevard Art Association.
Museum Monday is a community outreach program that focuses on art and creativity in various forms. Sponsored by the Foosaner Art Museum, the free programs are held in the Harris Community Auditorium at 10 a.m. on the fourth Monday, January through May. Light refreshments are served.
