How To Fix Today's Bright House Cable Interruption

ORLANDO, Florida --  Some Bright House Networks cable customers in the Central Florida area, including Brevard County, may have experienced problems with their cable boxes today.

"Very early this morning we were performing pre-planned upgrade maintenance to our network to improve and increase performance," said Senior Director of Bright House Networks Corporate Communications, Donald Forbes.

"The boxes that were taking longer to reboot after the network performance upgrade was complete are now coming back online," Forbes said.  "We want customers to know we make enhancements to the network during the very early hours of the morning to avoid any negative customer impact and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience."

Forbes added that in limited cases, it may require customers to reboot their boxes by simply unplugging it from the electrical outlet,  wait a few seconds, and then plug back in.
