Brevard Sheriff's Deputies Arrest 7-11 Robbery Suspect
COCOA, Florida -- On February 6, 2013, shortly after 1:00am, an individual entered the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 1451 Clearlake Road, Cocoa, demanding money while implying he had a weapon.
After the robbery, uniformed Brevard County Sheriff's Deputies from West Precinct walked the surrounding neighborhoods speaking with the residents to inform them of the violent crime and seeking information. As a result of their groundwork, information was obtained which lead to the identification of the suspect.
The suspect was ultimately identified as 37-year-old Edrick J.B. Plain of Cocoa, Florida. Deputies then located Plain, who was found to be wearing some of the same clothing worn during the Robbery. Deputies say that Plain confessed to the robbery, which he allegedly said was motivated by drug use.
