Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries In Titusville Crash

TITUSVILLE, Florida – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Cheney Highway (State Road 50) near Hickory Hill Boulevard at 10:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Twenty-year-old Robert Rajah was struck by a 2001 Honda driven by James Sellers, 49, of Titusville, Florida.  Rajah was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Titusville police say that the preliminary investigation revealed that Rajah was not in a crosswalk and it is unknown why he was in the roadway when he was struck.  The vehicle involved in the crash was driven to a nearby residence on St. James Street by a passenger prior to police arrival.  The driver remained at the scene and rendered aid to the victim.

This crash remains under investigation and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.
