Cocoa Beach Police: Beachgoers Attacked, Robbed
COCOA BEACH, Florida -- At approximately 2:00 a.m. this morning, Cocoa Beach police officers met with two victims who
reported being robbed at the beach end of 6th Street South in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The victims told police
that they were attacked as they exited the beach by three suspects who had emerged from a
nearby parked car.
Police say that one of the suspects brandished a metal bar that was used as a weapon.
The suspects fled in their vehicle after the attack but were quickly apprehended by responding
officers.
Jason Bissett, 30, of Titusville, Lonna Cupac, 28, of Cocoa and a 17-year-old minor of Cocoa
Beach were arrested and charged with armed robbery. Bissett and Cupac were transported to
the Brevard County Detention Center in Sharpes and the minor was turned over to the Brevard County Juvenile
Detention Center.
