Tonight's Florida Lotto Grows To $54 Million, Highest In 12 Years

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- Due to a boost in FLORIDA LOTTO® sales, Florida Lottery players now have a chance to win a guaranteed $54 million FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot in tonight’s drawing.

Lottery officials said in a release that the last time the game’s jackpot was this high was September 5, 2001, when one player won a $54 million jackpot.  The FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot has rolled 33 times since the April 24 drawing.

Jackpot prizes are paid in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump-sum payment. The cash value of the Florida Lotto is roughly two-thirds of the annuity jackpot amount. Jackpot winners have 60 days after the draw to select the lump-sum payment option. Winners must claim their prizes within 180 days from the applicable drawing.

The Florida Lottery retailer who sells a jackpot-winning ticket for this drawing will receive a bonus incentive of $175,000. In the event of multiple winners, retailers will share the bonus incentive.

Saturday night's FLORIDA LOTTO drawing will be held at 11:15 p.m., Eastern Time.

The overall odds to win the Florida Lotto jackpot are 1 in 22,957,480.
