Tropical Storm Lorenzo Forms In Atlantic Ocean

MIAMI, Florida --  As of 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, October 21, 2013, NOAA's National Hurricane Center in Miami issued a Public Advisory due the formation of Tropical Storm Lorenzo in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
Tropical Storm Lorenzo is located about 635 miles east-southeast of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour as it moves to the north-northeast at 7 miles per hour.  Lorenzo's tropical storm-force winds extend 80 miles from the center of the storm.


NOAA's stormtracker forecasts that Tropical Storm Lorenzo will grown stronger over the next couple days as the tropical cyclone makes it way toward the open Atlantic Ocean.  T.S. Lorenzo is not expected to become a hazard to land.
