Black Friday 2013: Sears, Kmart Open On Thanksgiving

Sears and Kmart stores announced that they will be open on Thanksgiving Day for Shop Your Way members and customers who want to get an early start on their holiday shopping.

Sears Holding, parent company of both Kmart and Sears, said in a release that Kmart has been a destination for early-bird shopping and last-minute entertaining needs on Thanksgiving Day for 22 years.  Sears just opened its doors for the second time on Thanksgiving Day last year for early Black Friday deals.  The company also noted that both stores are staffed with seasonal associates and those who have volunteered to work.
