Pedestrian Hit, Killed On I-95 In Brevard County
COCOA, Florida -- The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday night on I-95 near Cocoa, Florida.
The pedestrian had parked a U-haul truck in the median of I-95 northbound and was walking south of his vehicle. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Ashley Marie Adams of Melbourne, Florida was driving a 2008 Mazda northbound on I-95 in the left lane.
According to FHP reports, when the pedestrian began walking eastbound near mile marker 201 in an attempt to cross the northbound lanes of I-95, he traveled into the direct path of the Mazda and was struck. He has not been identified pending next-of-kin notification.
The crash remains under investigation
