Palm Bay Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash

MELBOURNE, Florida -- A 25-year-old Palm Bay, Florida man has died from injuries he sustained in a vehicle accident that occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Eber Boulevard and Dairy Road in Melbourne, Florida.


The Florida Highway Patrol reported that 83-year-old Michaeleen Blair of Melbourne, Florida was driving a 2006 Hyundai 4-door northbound on Dairy Road in the left turn lane.  Meanwhile, Nicholas Spivas was riding a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Dairy Road in the through lane.


According to FHP reports, the traffic light for Dairy Road turned yellow and Blair attempted to make a left turn onto Eber Boulevard while Spiva was traveling straight through the intersection.  The front of the motorcycle then struck the right front of the Hyundai and Spiva was ejected.


The crash remains under investigation.
