BREVARD COUNTY, Florida -- Three people have died as a result of a crash on I-95 in Brevard County that occurred around 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 39-year-old Leonardo Alvarez-Savageau was driving a 2008 Infinity G35X northbound on I-95 when, for an unknown reason, the Inifinity left the roadway and struck a guardrail in the center median.

After the initial collision, the front of the Infinity struck a 2007 Hyundai Elantra head-on which was also traveling northbound.  The Elantra was then struck in the rear by a northbound 2012 Toyota Camry driven by 25-year-old George Cornejo of Hialeah Gardens, Florida.

The driver of the Elantra, 64-year-old Kay Ferril of Rockledge, Florida, and two passengers, 66-year-old Willie Morgagne and 56-year-old Rose Neal, both of Cocoa, Florida, all died in the crash.  The Elantra's third passenger, 66-year-old Barbara Thomas of Cocoa, Florida, is in critical condition at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.  All of the Elantra's occupants were wearing seat belts, according to FHP reports.

Alvarez-Savageau and his passenger, 24-year-old Shayla Davis, are in serious condition at Wuestoff Hospital in Rockledge, Florida.  A second Infinity passenger, 26-year-old Mary Vanassee, is in critical condition at Holmes Regional.  All three are from Springfield, Massachusetts.
