Discovery Channel's Shark Week 2015: Episode Schedule

SHARK WEEK, television's longest running must-see summer TV event, returns to Discovery Channel  on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 8 PM EDT with Shark Trek followed by Island of the Mega Shark at 9 PM and Monster Mako at 10 PM


In Shark Trek, researchers try to learn why there has been an increase of great white shark spotted in the Atlantic Ocean off of Florida. Later on Sunday night, SHARK WEEK then takes viewers from the Sunshine State to Guadalupe Island in Mexico where it is believed that Mega Sharks got to feed. In Monster Mako, scientists outfit the fastest shark species in the world with cameras in order to unlock and reveal the mysteries of their swift, immediate and unseen world.  

Here is the rest of the 2015 SHARK WEEK schedule: 

Monday: 
9 PM   Return of the Great White Serial Killer - Researchers try to find answers for a series of Great White shark attacks that have occurred with clocklike precision off of Surf Beach, CA, in the same month, every two years.

10 PM Alien Sharks: Close Encounters - Researchers explore the deepest and darkest unexplored oceans armed with the newest technologies available to get as close as possible to some of the most incredible and unusual sharks on the planet, rarely seen on film. In a first ever, a 20 foot mega mouth shark is tagged with a pop-up satellite tag, filmed off the eastern coast of Taiwan.

Tuesday:
9 PM   Bride of Jaws - At nearly 18 feet and over 3,000 pounds, a record-breaking female great white shark nicknamed "Joan of Shark" roams the waters off Western Australia

10 PM  Tiburones: Sharks of Cuba - 70 years ago, what is believed to be the largest shark ever caught in the world was landed off the Cuban coast, a 21-foot Great White named "El Monstruo." Scientists explore whether large sharks still swim around Cuba.

Wednesday: 
9 PM   Super Predator - Explore a deep sea trench in Australia that is home to a super predator large enough to take on a Great White shark.

10 PM Ninja Sharks - Six shark species with unique adaptations that have evolved over millions of years making them the most lethal hunters in the sea.

Thursday: 
9 PM   Shark Planet - 13 shark species are filmed across the globe in the latest 4K and high-speed camera technology, Shark Planet (WT), a BBC co-production, reveals the global world of the shark rarely seen before with the most up to date technology.

Friday: 
9 PM   Sharks of the Shadowland - Divers in New Zealand for the very first time tag a Sevengill Shark as they are charged with protecting and saving a pristine underwater environment, home to this species of shark that has seven gills vs. five. 

10 PM Shark Clans - Researchers tag and track Great White shark clans moving ever closer to Australia's shores.

Saturday: 
9 PM   Sharksanity 2 - Takes a look at the most insane bites, strikes and close calls from SHARK WEEK as viewers rank their favorite viral shark clips.

10 PM Shark Island - Shark experts explore the latest in a string of deadly bull shark attacks.

Also in 2015, Shark After Dark will return an all-new host, award-winning film director, producer, writer and actor Eli Roth ("Inglourious Basterds", "The Green Inferno," and "Knock Knock" amongst other projects). For five consecutive nights, Roth will bring his unique style to Shark After Dark and make his mark on SHARK WEEK with celebrity guests, shark fans and shark experts, among many others. Additionally, Roth will look back at some of the highlights from SHARK WEEK and look ahead to give viewers a sneak peek at the next day's SHARK WEEK programs.
