I-95 Clear In Brevard County After Tanker Crash


10:00 UPDATE: I-95 is now clear.

9:30 UPDATE: All northbound lanes have re-opened and one lane southbound has re-opened.

9:15 UPDATE:  The driver of the jackknifed semi truck was transported with minor injuries. The leaks have been plugged by HAZMAT crews and one lane of I-95 has been opened.


MELBOURNE, Florida - According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a tanker crash that occurred in the northbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 188 just before 9 a.m. in Brevard County, Florida has all lanes blocked while hazardous material crews with Brevard County Fire Rescue clean up the spill.

The road closure has caused traffic to be backed up until the Lake Washington Road exit in Melbourne, Florida.

Motorists should use US-1 as an alternate route.
