What Time Is It Now After Daylight Saving Time 2016?

Did you oversleep or wake up too early?  What time is it?  Below is the current correct clock for Eastern Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Eastern Time zone after the time change this morning.

The time change for Daylight Saving Time 2016 started overnight at 2 a.m this morning.

When Is Daylight Savings Time?

The date Daylight Savings Time (DST) begins in Florida is on Sunday, March 13, 2016. That means that we lost (not gained) an hour when we turned our clocks forward from 2 a.m to 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The rest of the United States also turned their clocks forward on March 13, 2016 with the exception of Hawaii and Arizona because those states do not practice Daylight Savings Time. With the exception of the U.S. and some European countries, the rest of the word does not observe Daylight Savings Time.

Do We Turn Clocks Back Or Forward?

A helpful way to remember whether to set our clocks ahead or behind one hour during the Daylight Savings Time change for Fall 2014 is to "Fall Back" and "Spring Ahead."

How to Correctly Spell and Say Daylight Saving Time

Is it "Daylight Savings Time" or "Daylight Saving Time"?  The correct term is without the "s" but the added "s" has become so widely used in the United States that this article has includes the added "s".

Daylight Savings Time Bad For Your Health

Losing an hour of sleep is bad for your health, studies find. The overall rate for stroke was 8% higher and heart attacks 10% higher in the days following daylight saving time, CNN reports

Daylight Savings Time and the Sunshine State

Do we need Daylight Savings Time in the Sunshine State? Probably not. That's because most of the State of Florida has a sunrise year-round before 7 a.m. with the exception of the Florida Panhandle.
