TITUSVILLE, Florida - A large platform that is scheduled to move from Oak Hill, Florida to Kennedy Space Center this morning will cause traffic detours and delays in north Brevard County.
The platform is scheduled to leave Oak Hill at approximately 9:00-9:30 a.m., then travel southbound on U.S. 1.
There will be some southbound travel in the northbound lanes around Mims, Florida, just north of Highway 46, and on U.S. 1. before and over the railroad bridge/marina to Garden Street.
The travel time to the U.S. 1.- Garden Street intersection is estimated to take about 2 hours. The total travel time from Oak Hill to Kennedy Space Center is expected to take approximately 3 hours.
