Brevard County Sets Record Cold Temperatures

MELBOURNE, Florida - Brevard County broke record cold temperatures on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Orlando-Melbourne International Airport dropped to 48°F, breaking an old record low of 49°F set over 95 years ago in 1921.

After a cool start this morning, temperatures will rebound nicely thanks to brilliant sunshine. Light west winds this morning will become onshore (east) this afternoon as the east coast sea breeze pushes inland.

Afternoon highs ranging from around 80°F along the coast to 85°F well inland are expected.
