Rain On The Way For East Central Florida Monday

MELBOURNE, Florida - Parts of drought-ridden east Central Florida will see scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms through late afternoon and evening on Monday.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida forecasts that the scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop along the I-4 corridor due to inland-moving sea breezes and surface heating.

Showers and storms will develop through late Monday with additional boundary collisions.

The general movement of the storms will be slowly towards the northeast and perhaps chaotic at times.

The latest radar images show some storm development in the extreme northern and extreme southern portions of Brevard County.
