Victory Casino Cruises Sets Sail On Inaugural Voyage

After a series of delays over the first half of the year, Victory Casino Cruises' Victory 1 finally disembarked on its inaugural voyage today, delighting both patrons and employees alike.

The 40,000 square foot gambling ship set sail out of Terminal B-2 from Port Canaveral  with about 600 passengers on board.

Although the ship has a passenger capacity of 1200, a self-imposed limit of 600 passengers was chosen for the maiden voyage and will remain so throughout the weekend until "all of the kinks are worked out," according to Victory Casino Cruises' Public Relations Director John Picano.

The fully renovated ship was formerly the Sun Cruz Casinos' Surfside Princess that had operated out of a terminal next to Fishlips in Port Canaveral.

The four deck ship features buffet dining and live entertainment.  Alcoholic drinks are free while gaming.  In addition to slot machines, over 30 tables games are available such as blackjack craps, roulette, and poker.  The ship will sail twice a day Monday through Saturday, and once a day on Sunday.
