Pedestrian Struck and Killed During Hit and Run in Downtown Cocoa Beach

A male pedestrian was struck this afternoon in downtown Cocoa Beach near the intersection of First Street North and Northbound A1A.  

Cocoa Beach Fire Department is on scene while the Cocoa Beach Police Department is interviewing eyewitnesses.  The current description of the suspect hit and run driver is a white male, wearing a straw hat, no shirt, driving northbound on A1A in a Ford F150.

The left lane of A1A is expected to remain closed for the next two hours.
