Three Charged With Taxi Cab Armed Robbery

COCOA, Florida -- On Sunday, July 28, 2013, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Brevard County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Columbine Drive in Cocoa after receiving a report of a robbery. 


A taxi cab driver told Deputies that he was called to a residence by a woman.  Upon arrival of the taxi cab, two men entered the cab and told the driver to wait for the woman.  After a short time, the men grabbed the driver around the neck and produced a knife.  They then forcibly removed cash from his pockets and ran from the area.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies say that all of the suspects were identified as 31-year-old Laura Louise Pugh, 48-year-old Dennis Lewis Rimmer, and 28-year-old Jarrod Robert Carr.  Pugh and Rimmer were subsequently located, arrested, and charged with armed robbery.


Late yesterday, Deputies located Carr in the area of the Elkham Road in Port St. John, Florida. During the apprehension, Deputies say that Carr attempted to flee on foot and was subsequently arrested after the deployment of a patrol K9.  


Carr
Carr was charged with armed robbery, resisting without violence and violation of community control. Carr is currently being held on a no bond status at the Brevard County Jail.  Pugh's bond was set at $50,000 and Rimmer's bond was set at $75,000.
