PORT SAINT JOHN, Florida -- A 26-year-old Titusville woman has died as a result of injuries she sustained in a vehicle crash that occurred just before midnight on Saturday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 43-year-old Jennifer Dusan of Merritt Island, Florida was driving a 2002 Ford Mustang in the right turn lane on Fay Boulevard, attempting to travel south on US-1. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Jerrick Clarington of Titusville, Florida was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus northbound in the inside lane traveling of US-1.
FHP says that Dusan lost control of the Mustang and traveled into the northbound lanes of US-1. The front of the Mustang then struck into the left, front side of the Taurus.
Clarington and one of the Taurus passengers, 23-year-old Jalin Warren of Titusville, suffered minor injuries and were transported to Parrish Medical Center.
A second passenger in the Taurus was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida and later died. The deceased passenger has not been identified pending next-of-kin notification.
Dusan did not suffer any injuries and was arrested for DUI at the scene of the crash.
