A1A Re-opened After Fatal Accident In Cape Canaveral

UPDATE: S.R. A1A has reopened.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida  -- A fatal accident occurred around 9 a.m. Thursday morning on State Road A1A near the intersection of Polk Avenue in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

State Road A1A remains closed from Harrison Avenue to Filmore Avenue while Brevard County Fire Rescue crews along with Brevard County Sheriff's Department patrol officers and crime scene investigators remain on scene to investigate the fatality. 

Traffic is being re-routed onto Poinsetta Avenue while S.R. A1A remains closed.
